Crash Doctor is a standalone diagnostic mod for Mount & Blade II: Bannerlord. It works with any modded setup — vanilla, The Old Realms, Diplomacy, Calradia Expanded, RBM, Banner Kings, anything. No internet, no dependencies.
What it does
- Crash analysis. Reads the game’s crash dumps and explains in plain language what happened, which mod is most likely responsible and what to do about it.
- Crash Fixes. Dozens of runtime guards that intercept known crashes while you play — in battle, on the campaign map, while saving, in the UI, in TOR. Each with its own on/off switch and a plain-language description.
- Prevented journal. What exactly the mod stopped: a troop without a culture, a broken
save key, an empty formation — with the game objects involved, so you can tell where the
broken data came from. Available in game via
Ctrl+Alt+D. - System Tune-Up. Common Windows, driver and engine fixes in one click.
- Mods. Installed mods in launcher order with conflict, missing-dependency and load-order badges.
- Saves and History. Save checks and a history of past crashes.
Compatibility
One install for 1.2.x – 1.4.x: a version-dispatching loader detects the game version at
startup and loads the matching build. Works on Steam and manual installs. Game Pass /
MS Store is not supported yet (different game binaries). Bannerlord.Harmony is needed for
the live protections; the core crash analysis works without it.
